Last Friday Stink and I went to my in-laws so that hubby and his dad could do the final touches to get the house ready to sell. Stink and I had a great time. I got a TON of sewing done thanks to my mother in law watching Stink for me. I was even able to run at a friends house on their treadmill. We were only supposed to stay until Tuesday, but on Monday hubby called and said things were taking longer than expected. We stayed until Wednesday. Here is our week in photos:
We loved on everyone:
Rusty got the most loving!
Cornbread and bean soup
She even helped cook!
And beans in bowls
And watched movies
And after long mornings and fun filled evenings we slept
Sometimes where ever we could
What did you do this past weekend? What do you have planned for this coming weekend? I’m running a 5k to support the fight against child abuse.
Last weekend Hubby and I went to visit with his parents. Hubby and Pops had a fishing trip planned that I was TOTALLY NOT EVEN INVITED TO! I’m only still slightly bitter, but kinda glad I didn’t go because a buddy of ours went with them and he totally hooked the guide in the face with one of those three barbed lures. They had to take him to the emergency room to have it removed. EW. I can handle getting my own fish off the hook but not human flesh. While there Nona and I took Stinkerbell to the “Blooming Festival.” It’s a festival where local and national vendors can rent a spot and set up shop for the weekend. It raises money for a local Catholic School. There were tons of vendors there, mostly handmade goods such as candles, toys, children’s clothes, bird houses, etc. I found a totally cute hand knitted sweater for Stinkerbell (got a 2t for this fall since it’s way too f’ing hot already for her to wear) and a handmade Dora purse for her as well. She loves her new purse. For the rest of the weekend she walked around with it on her arm. She made sure it stayed on my holding her hand up in the air. It was too cute. Stinkerbell also had fun chasing Rusty the cat around the house. She did pretty good at not pulling his hair out but she did pull his tail a few times 😦 Poor guy. He was probably glad when we left.

On Tuesday I got up before the roosters did in order to get me and Stinkerbell (formerly known as Nuthead) on the road and headed towards my mother’s house. We arrived at her house at 8:30am. I attempted to call her like 50 times to tell her what time we would be there. I should have known better….. The woman never answers her phone. Anyways, when I was about 30 minutes out she finally answered the phone. I told her her that we were on the road and headed her way. She said, “what? I thought you were going to be here by 8:30?” At this point it was 8am. I then informed her that I would be at her house in 30 minutes because I left two hours ago. We get to my Mom’s house and she of course is still not ready. Why do I bother with calling ahead…. Bless my mom 🙂 Anyways we got there and loaded her up in the car and headed to Chattanooga to visit the Aquarium. Stinkerbell had a blast spending the day with her Granny and the fishes/sea creatures. She pointed at everything with glee and shrieked as loud as she could. By the time we were done and in the gift shop, she completely passed out in her stroller.
Here is Stinkerbell and her Granny at the beginning of the tour:
The first stop on our underwater (but not really) adventure began with the Ocean Journey. Here is where we saw all ocean creatures large and small. In the Ocean Journey tour we started at the Stingray tank. Stinkerbell was able to stick her hands in the water at this one. She LOVED it and really had fun watching the Stingrays swim by.
There were also some really cool looking freshwater stingrays (don’t worry, they’re only found in Africa.)
Next we went into the large tank area that houses hundreds of different fish. It was nothing else but impressive to see. Here are a few pics:
I WILL EAT YOU!
This guy looks like a nuke that went off
After we saw all of the intriguing creatures that roam the Ocean’s depths we ventured on to the River Journey tour. When you enter the building you walk down a large ramp at a small decline that wraps around the building for four levels. It’s pretty neat and VERY stroller friendly (always a plus :)) Here are some pics from our river experience:

That fish felt GROSS! I only screeched a little when I touched it.....

Last I leave you with this thing:
Nuthead had a GREAT Easter Sunday. First she woke up at the butt crack of dawn because apparently she thought we were going to the Sunrise Service at church. Once she realized her error she decided that she was just going to stay up anyways because there were cartoons on. So, this meant that I got to stay up as well while Daddy continued to sleep. I stared at him in envy…… After about two hours when the REST of the house woke up (Nuthead’s Grandma, Pops, and Great Grandma came to visit) she decided to eat breakfast and then see what the Easter Bunny brought her. Apparently the Easter Bunny is like Santa and knows exactly what you like because my little Princess got a Handy Manny Tool Box for a basket. Therefore, as any good Princess would do, I got her a Princess Easter Basket with eggs and chocolate in it for Hubby and I to eat.
She LOVES her Handy Manny tool kit. She has already tested the “Chewability” of all items and determined that they taste like plastic. SHe has also decided that she likes to pull the hair out of her bunny and give it to me. Yay…….
After Easter Basket festivities were over Nuthead decided that she wanted to go back to sleep. I was all “must be nice…….” and stared at her with envy. After she got up we headed off to church for Easter Service. Our friends Meredith and Josh and their little Tinkerbell MyKayla came with us.
After church it was time for more eating and then naps. Only, I just did the eating part……. Again, I am Mommy so apparently this means that I don’t get to sleep EVER! Then Mykayla was nice enough to invite us over for an Easter Egg Hunt. Nuthead had a BLAST hunting bark, leaves, and sticks. She didn’t care too much for finding eggs, even though she has the Fisher Price Farm/Animal thingy and plays with the stupid eggs (there were 3 and now we’re down to 1, hmmmmm…..) in that thing ALL F’ING DAY LONG! Hubby even joined us for the egg hunt which was a nice surprise.
Mykayla in her cool shades huntin' eggs
It may LOOK like she's going for the egg, but really she's trying to get the rock.......

Nuthead and her Daddy. She ADORES him 🙂
Mykayla decided that she was too cool to hunt easter eggs and went for a ride in her car 🙂
Really? Because there's not an egg up there Nuthead........
