Wow it’s been a crazy busy week. Monday involved two house showings, unfortunately no offers, tuesday, met with the financial manager peeps. Wednesday, spent the day with my good friend and her kids. Stink and her BFF Samster played while Livy-love crawled all over the place! I can’t believe she is almost walking and can say a few words! She is such a big girl already! Stink had a BLAST with Samster. She just adores him. While there I walked Carrie through a romper like this one
(this is the one I made for Stink. Pattern is from Sew Sweet Patterns off Etsy.)
However, it didn’t turn out so well as my retarded self pinned the romper bottoms on sideways 😦 so we wound up making it a skirt instead. Then I helped her fix the yoke on what is going to be an adorable shirt/pants outfit for Livy-love!
It felt GREAT to be able to teach her some tips and tricks, even if it didn’t turn out perfect. We’ve decided to make this a weekly thing!
At some point this week I plan on attempting a pleated skirt for Stink, but we’ll have to see. I still have to finish up a Newsboy Hat for Michelle and this weekend is Easter o LOTS of family time!

I’m not quite done with my first order yet (I am still working on the ruffle shorts.) It’s harder to get a ton done without the assistance of my Mother-in-law. She was so great at watching Stink for me while I worked. I do however have access to my Serger while at home. This is good and bad. Some days it likes me…. some days not so much…. Anyways, even though I’m not completely done with the order Bella’s mom came and picked up what I had already completed. As soon as they got home Bella couldn’t wait to try on her “Fancy Nancy” dress I made her. Her mom reports that she refuses to take it off! GO ME! Here is the “Fancy Bella” in her “Fancy Nancy” dress:
if you want to know how to make this dress refer to this post where I made Stink one without straps in Tinkerbell.
So far I have completed most of one order. I have done three dresses and one pair of shorts. That leaves, for this order one dress and one pair of shorts left. Then on to the second order, which has four shorts, three halter tops, three peasant shirts, and three dresses. Whew! Thank God for my mother-in-law for watching Stink.
So several of my friends have noticed the clothes I made for Stink. Two of them loved them so much that they have asked me to make their daughters several outfits each!!! I am so excited about this new opportunity. I am even going to make a little cash out of it too. It doesn’t get much better than getting paid to do something you enjoy. I’m headed up to my in-laws this weekend so that hubby can get the house ready to put on the market. My wonderful mother-in-law is going to watch Stink for me while I sew up a few of the outfits. I think in all there are 6 dresses, 8 pairs of shorts, and 6 shirts. I’m going to be a busy momma for the next few weeks.
I took both moms to Joanne’s Fabrics the other day and helped them to pick out fabric. Both of them got so much for so little due to the massive sales that Joanne’s is having. I can’t wait to get started. I’ll try to remember to take pics as I go.
Here is the first one:
Feast your eyes on all that FABulous FABric! These momma's made out like bandit at Joanne's

Today Stinkerbell and I invited some friends over for a playdate (Kym and her cutie Carson). Kym and I had a blast finally getting a chance to catch up. Stinkerbell and Carson had a ton of fun too. Stinkerbell was all about the baby pool. I swear that kid could live in water. Carson fully enjoyed the swing and the slide. Carson even, inadvertently, showed Stinkerbell how to climb the steps to the slide! I’ve been working on this with her (you would think with her love of climbing she would have figured it out already) on how to do this without slipping FOREVER. Then Carson comes over and teaches her in like 5 seconds! Thanks Carson! All in all we had a blast together and I am looking forward to another playdate!
Nuthead had a GREAT Easter Sunday. First she woke up at the butt crack of dawn because apparently she thought we were going to the Sunrise Service at church. Once she realized her error she decided that she was just going to stay up anyways because there were cartoons on. So, this meant that I got to stay up as well while Daddy continued to sleep. I stared at him in envy…… After about two hours when the REST of the house woke up (Nuthead’s Grandma, Pops, and Great Grandma came to visit) she decided to eat breakfast and then see what the Easter Bunny brought her. Apparently the Easter Bunny is like Santa and knows exactly what you like because my little Princess got a Handy Manny Tool Box for a basket. Therefore, as any good Princess would do, I got her a Princess Easter Basket with eggs and chocolate in it for Hubby and I to eat.
She LOVES her Handy Manny tool kit. She has already tested the “Chewability” of all items and determined that they taste like plastic. SHe has also decided that she likes to pull the hair out of her bunny and give it to me. Yay…….
After Easter Basket festivities were over Nuthead decided that she wanted to go back to sleep. I was all “must be nice…….” and stared at her with envy. After she got up we headed off to church for Easter Service. Our friends Meredith and Josh and their little Tinkerbell MyKayla came with us.
After church it was time for more eating and then naps. Only, I just did the eating part……. Again, I am Mommy so apparently this means that I don’t get to sleep EVER! Then Mykayla was nice enough to invite us over for an Easter Egg Hunt. Nuthead had a BLAST hunting bark, leaves, and sticks. She didn’t care too much for finding eggs, even though she has the Fisher Price Farm/Animal thingy and plays with the stupid eggs (there were 3 and now we’re down to 1, hmmmmm…..) in that thing ALL F’ING DAY LONG! Hubby even joined us for the egg hunt which was a nice surprise.
Mykayla in her cool shades huntin' eggs
It may LOOK like she's going for the egg, but really she's trying to get the rock.......

Nuthead and her Daddy. She ADORES him 🙂
Mykayla decided that she was too cool to hunt easter eggs and went for a ride in her car 🙂
Really? Because there's not an egg up there Nuthead........
